The Laboratory Apprenticeship programme launched in TU Dublin in 2018 and has been a resounding success. Developed by Biopharmachem Ireland, a business association within Ibec, the Laboratory Apprenticeships are suitable for a diverse laboratory environment such as the pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturing, medical devices, food and drink and more.
The programme has grown in recent months, officially launching in the prestigious Waterford Institute of Technology in 2019 and creating a new route for students to take a step towards a career as a Laboratory Technician or a Laboratory Analyst.
Due to the high level of interest in the programme nationally, the next intake of apprentices will be happening in September 2020, with the recruitment process starting in March 2020.
An information day is to be held in the lead education provider, TU Dublin on 6th February 2020 from 14.00 to 16.00. The Laboratory Apprenticeship team would like to welcome any companies who may be interested in coming along to learn more about the programme.
This event is titled “Expanding Insight and Sharing Success” and will showcase how this initiative has benefitted organisations. Companies involved with the programme will be asked to share feedback on their experience with the programme to date, as well as answer any queries.
