Laboratory Technician Level 6 Apprenticeship

Two year programme - Laboratory Technician Level 6 programme:

Job profile:
The Laboratory Technician apprentice will be responsible for carrying out basic laboratory duties that may include sample collection, equipment calibration, solution preparation, stock control and glassware maintenance while conducting basic physical and analytical testing methods on raw materials, in-process or finished product. All work to be conducted and recorded in accordance with good laboratory practices.

School leavers, career changers, mature students, those returning to work, those looking to retrain/upskill.

Timelines:
  • The first laboratory apprenticeship intake is set to commence this October 2018 and will be run out of our lead provider, Institute of Technology, Tallaght.
  • Following this, there will be two subsequent apprentice intakes.
  • One in January 2019 and a second in September 2019, these intakes will be run out of regional Institutes of Technology.
