What is a Manufacturing Apprenticeship?

The manufacturing Apprenticeships are an ‘earn and learn’ higher certificate and degree programmes that combine on-the-job training with academic study.
These two and three-year programmes lead to a level 6 Higher Cert and a level 7 Bachelor of Engineering in manufacturing engineering from your local Institute of Technology. You’ll learn the skills, knowledge and behaviours necessary for a successful career in manufacturing and beyond. You’ll also earn a salary as you study – so what are you waiting for?

What you need to know

You will be awarded a Higher Certificate or a Bachelor of Engineering degree
You will study through a blend of lectures, quizzes, discussions, projects and process studies
You will be a full time employee with your company and earn a salary which is set by your employer
An annual apprentice registration fee of €1,500 applies
